Hi all, I think this is just clarifying who the "company" is on the last paragraph on the front page of the 12/4 announcement.
"does not earn direct revenue for the company"
In my opinion the "company" in that sentence could have been perceived to be Cebuana and this announcement just clarified that.
I don't think too many people thought otherwise as the real benefit for PIL here is not the revenue from the Cebuana transaction but the additional 2500 access locations for the people using the app to top up/access funds to make purchases/payments. This is where PIL generate their "direct revenue" and essentially with this deal have free access to the people/users.
Perhaps some investors have contacted PIL for clarification and they decided this announcement was warranted.
I can't wait to see a few more quarterlies following the next one as this is where the fruits of the new deals will start to show penetration into the addressable market.
