As we were advised previously, this report is taking significantly longer to write than the last one.

They are going over the punctuation and sentence structure with the proverbial fine tooth comb, and carefully editing the master-work to ensure it reads as fine literature should. The editorial committee is currently agonizing over several key passages in the document, with much to-ing and fro-ing over certain words and phrases. Patience is a virtue and I am sure that the document that eventually materializes will fully justify the exhaustive process that the writers have gone through.
