The interminable analysis could have led to an early decision to proceed with a phase 2 trial, this is the message the company has been communicating that they will be proceeding with a phase 2 trail otherwise would they have had to wait for the final report and analyse to make that decision. They have seen enough to progress but need to determine the best dose. You have to consider the disease that they are trialling for, they expect patients symptoms to get worse.
