Blatant share price manipulation by institutions to the detriment of retail shareholders. It appears that ASIC are quite comfortable with this. Why can’t a fixed charge per trade tax be levied on individual share transactions? After all the government is always looking for new ways to tax us. This would have the dual benefit of raising revenue for the government, and at the same time helping retail shareholders by reducing this manipulative BOT activity. Just a thought.
