using your figures it costs $3.50 to retrieve a $100- I believe that $3.50 a tonne could be in the ballpark, depending on what trucks used and price of diesel- but not sure if you are including loading costs which would be significant though not more than about $1 to $2 you would think at a rough guess
cost of machinery having gone through the roof, plus higher finance costs, maybe these costs are a bit low if you want to take full cost into account
