If he does leave when the transaction finalises it makes sense. When He started they were selling AMP Life & with Capital likely now sold, its it's two biggest businesses sold which they now only have passive investments in.
Just hope it's not prior so he can steer through the transaction. Francesco by no means has any easy role, but lets hope his vision works (slim the business, create value for both shareholders and clients).
