Chairman's Address - 2015 Energy Mad Annual Meeting
Welcome to Energy Mad's fourth Annual Meeting.
In the second half of the last financial year the Company completed a
re-organisation and refocusing on its core business which should see Energy
Mad become profitable on annual revenues above $6.4 million.
The focus is on increasing its sales of LED bulbs into the Australian Energy
Efficiency Schemes and building the New Zealand Direct to Consumer LED sales.
Before handing over to the Managing Director Dr Chris Mardon and Chief
Executive Officer, Paul Ravlich, I would note this is my last day as Chairman
and director of Energy Mad.
Over a year ago, I made a personal decision not to offer myself for
re-appointment. I wanted to see the re-organisation of the Company through
to the point where it was starting to make progress to becoming profitable
before stepping down.
The first quarter has been an encouraging start.
The Company has decided not to replace director Tom Mackenzie in the meantime
and I believe shareholders will be well served by the nominated director
Brent Wheeler.
I acknowledge the support I have received from my fellow directors and
management during my tenure and thank you as shareholders for your continuing
support for the Company.
