What a cluster disaster - both in trems of hard dollars and think about the amount of time spent trying to solve a problem that is bleeding away customer goodwill and we really don't have an iron clad guarantee that an additional $20m thrown at the problemn wil result in a fit-for-purpose solution..
And it beggars belief that the Mocka acquisition goodwill has not been written down.
Mocka EBIT for 1H was $0.306m and 2H $1.225 indicating no material improvement and this is now the thrid year of woeful results.Surely the trend is evident.
Pretty poor when $88m in Mocka net assets can produce a piddly EBIT of just $1.5m - just 1.7% return
Focus has been brilliant - its EBIT/net assets is 36% and the traditional ADH badge produces an EBIT/Net assets of an amazing 91.6%.
Lance the boil as daicos has suggested, get out the gunk, stop majoring on the minnows - the money is in ADH and Focus.
Flog Mocka to someone else and try and recycle whatever dollars obtained into the stuff that generates good money.
ADH should rightfully be punished today.
I have already noved on and there are too many other good retailers (SSG, NCK & SUL for starters) who are better quality and have enduring models without a dragging anchor like Mocka..
Tonight I will burn my copious notes on ADH and the ashes will be spread asunder. .
