Without revealing too much I would think the ADH chairman would think it would be a good time to retire with the business in great shape and about to embark on its next phase. He also has had some health issues in the past so maybe that has played a part in his decision. All I can say is a job well done sir and happy retirement. Trent Peterson or Kate Spargo would be great replacements for Chairman Michael Butler
As far as PE goes I can say that I had the good fortune to see how good PE operates. I was involved in a transaction that saw how good PE thinking can turn around an unloved good business into a admired business with a strong business model. In the case I am talking about an investment of $25m returned $420m in just over 3 years and that was nearly 20 years ago so a lot more in today’s dollars.
