there are quite a lot of variables to consider when investing. after you have decided on what company you want to own the next question is how is your performance against your benchmark, whatever it is. for example how well do you perform to the All Ords annually or over a number of years.

maybe you were 4.03% under last year, the year prior to that 6.54% over. why?

perhaps seperate domestic to international and have seperate benchmarks. or accumulation vs non accumulation.

my gut feel is that pretty few professionals and individuals ever really beat an index over a few years. despite all their knowledge.

IVV is not a bad index fund to invest 90% in if you can afford it but will pay bugger all yield. probably a mix for most.

ADH looks ok l got cold feet as l passed a few shops a while back. not going back in but worth a punt l reckon. retail generally l cannot handle
