I am amused (or bemused) by this fixation on the CEO's share trading deals (or lack thereof). I appreciate that it aligns the interests of the CEO with those of the shareholders and may send some sort of message to the market but WP has already indicated that he will not be releasing information just for a grab on the share price. I did a quick search on the trading habits of another CEO, Alan Joyce from Qantas. Between 2013 and current date he has purchased 3,033,114 shares on market, his last purchase being on 28/8/15. Since that last purchase he has sold 8,130,581 shares on market. I don't know what message that sends to the market but the QAN share price has jumped from the mid $3 range up to around $6 in that time. I am looking forward to the day when the options granted to BOD and staff members under our LTIP finish in the money.
