You're living in the past, and the MF freelancer was living in dreamland (or extraordinarily patient). Re-base your expectations and valuation on the information you have available today - I would be shocked if you reached the conclusion that $0.34 is "fair value" - if per chance you do, I would love to see your underlying assumptions.
