The company should hand out stock to employees based on performance, which vests quarterly as part of the remuneration package.
The stock grants should be refreshed yearly after a performance review of each employee and the company occurs.
I feel bad for your Jay, you were obviously burnt hard and can't afford to sit and wait with your capital. Of course the company has some pretty large financial problems to overcome. It's a huge risk, the odds were always likely the vaccine would fail, if they were so easy, everyone would be doing it.
IMHO nothing for the short term of this company changed this week, it was the same as before.
