A2m did announce it to the ASX, that's how we all found out, however did they release it in a timely fashion?
Generally S&P will allow a minimum of 5 trading days for institutions to get set, so I'm confident Insto's have known well in advance, but that doesn't mean A2M did. That's a question for A2M.
Why didn't S&P release that information? Well that part is clearly their stuff up, but given rebalance notices are right on the cusp of being price sensitive or not, and S&P aren't under any obligation to notify the ASX, nothing will happen.
