I am not as optimistic. Mass deployment of RAT in a point of care or point of entry setting is still lacking. RAT is more acceptable now but mostly in self test kits. Governments and hospitals are holding on to PCR and vaccination with no consideration of how RAT can be used as a tool of opening up. They need to realise this tool is much better than contact tracing. However I am still cautiously optimistic. I see TGA approval as a near term catalyst. It will be the first step to government acceptance of RAT.
