Yep, the data lags 4 trading days unfortunately but it is the best info we have. I dare say the trend is more accurate than widely speculating that the shorters are coming in thick and fast! We will find out the truth in a couple of days.
The trading update was on the 1st of December, this is from where the stock started to drop. The short data is now up to the 3rd of December and showing a small decline in shorts. So far no sign of increased shorts. Generally, there are easier targets for hedge fund shorts than a company that is currently upgrading its prospectus earnings guidelines. We will see...
