Remember Sandstorm bought Hod Maden for A$800M on 100% basis. Hod Maden 9Mt @ 12 g/t AuEq. That was during cycle lows and Sandstorm paid for a minority (non-operating) interest. Hod Madens recent PFS shows NPV5 US$1.1Bln (A$1.5Bln) and after-tax IRR 50%. High quality projects like this get picked off for roughly 60% of NPV. Advantage here is Vares projects are brownfield and amenable to low cost open-pit mining so economics may be even better. Do the math, the current valuation is a STEAL.
