No one is going to let 375,000oz of gold worth $US460 million go to a tailings dam to recover $US375 million dollars of Cu (and that’s before factoring in a 15% loss on Cu after recovery by your own numbers).
I don’t have to talk to my pop to know that. The circuit will be maximised for gold recovery over Cu as Au will likely be a 3x bigger component of the value of the deposit than Cu.
Based on the average grades of the 9 new holes (as a rough estimte) and assuming 8Mt of ore the in situ values of the metals in the ground at today’s metal prices would be
Au US$920.6 million
Cu. US$357.0 million
Pb. US$843.7 million
Zn. US$1.548 billion
Ag. US$1.363 billion
Gold is likely to be the third most valuable component of this deposit.Esh
