For the benefit of anyone wondering:
"A copper concentrate containing 25.5% Cu and 53 g/T Au could be produced with 81% Cu recovery and 29% Au recovery. The copper recovery was very high for an open circuit cleaner cleaner test and could even be improved to higher levels."
The reason I use 85% Cu recovery as a benchmark is because using a *locked* cycle (meaning you re-use the reagents in a locked cycle instead of using fresh reagents in an open cycle) you recover more and more of the Cu. You will typically see 85% Cu recovery in locked cycles. Something to keep in mind when you come across met studies.
However, they do note that most of gold (61%) reported to the pyrite flotation section and to tails. Gold in sulphides do not float readily. Zn, Pb, Cu and Ag are coarse and float pretty easily. One good thing about Rupice being VMS vs SEDEX is that the pay metals will not require fine grinding which saves us a boatload on CapEx and OpEx.
