@galvanise has mentioned elsewhere that he thinks there will be, given the low bid and scrip component.
As part of the excellent comment he posted elsewhere that I mentioned, he says that if one is to come, it will likely be within a month from June 13. Candidates he mentioned are Zijin, Sandfire and Vedanta/Hindustan Zinc, and that they have to better the 268 p headline value
Someone else could make a bid as this is about as rock bottom as you can imagine on multiple fronts.
While I am still optimistic on gold and very optimistic on silver, they could have short term pullbacks for sure, and I am also not sure if ADT and DPM could fall even more in the meantime. But then that would give competing bidders an opportunity to swoop in; so maybe price won’t fall.

Our very high margin, long life assets are currently potentially being taken over by a company with market cap of just CAD 3.53 billion (USD 2.56 billion). Also note that DPM share price has inflated to 21.10 CAD which was as low as CAD 5.87 in Sep 2022.
So yes, there is of course potential for other much bigger sharks to come in, unless they are dettered by holdings of a few major shareholders
I can’t imagine too many people being big supporters of the current bid, unless they hold corresponding DPM shares. For that reason, there could be an inherent subconscious bias in people’s comments and not entirely reliable for a holder of only ADT shares. Hence, I would need to know how much DPM shares PC or anyone else owns to take their comment more seriously if they feel this is a good deal.
