all are fair arguments but I disagree.

paying a small but growing dividend is very important.

it shows to the market that the business is stable.

it opens up the register to a wider variety of investors who look for a dividend as part of their investment criteria.

it also benefits Tom and other large insiders who hold stock with a regular income stream which in turn disincentivises them from selling down their shares.

all these are significant positives for any company and all are factors that should drive the shares higher. this in turn provides the company with a more accretive script to use when they identify the next acquisition.

it makes a lot of sense to me and if you look at other successful growth companies on ASX, they all continued to perform well after announcing dividends.

anyhow, we will all be the wiser on Wednesday morning.
