Average quarterly receipts from customers = $353k
Average quarterly expenses = $1875k

So despite their effort to get this mining to full production, their output and sales were only covering about 20% of costs. Graphite prices can not save this. The output is just too low, the carbon deposit grade is too low and the large flake size hype has not got them any special prices to offset this.

Stage 2 expansion aims to fix this from reading now. 40ktpa target 50% large flake 50% suited for EV batteries. New hydropower from Madagascar gov should provide cheaper energy. These things seem like a fair way down the track but resource drilling should be done soon and then there's the lithium project as you say. Don't care for the low grade so far but if they aim for a lilac style DLE (if it works) then it could work as grade could be comparable to LKE. IMO
