if it was Aza-ven alone then it would be gold standard for treating this population by now. the fact is there's no frontline treatment for newly diagnosed AML in elderly. Hence Dr Maiti came up with this idea to combine the two. if you listen to his presentation he explained that Aza-ven exposes certain parts of the cancer cells and makes it easier for the core NK cells to seek them out and kill.
