What great news! A quick recap at a high level on where things are at.

We are waiting for NOPTA approval based on JA (Bailero for State level and Pitt for Federal level) signing; 12 February 2021 is the current expiration date.

We have NSW on track for high gas prices and unsecured gas supply. The NSW Gas Recovery Program is supported by gas imports from other states. Could even require international imports?

The domestic need drives the political to a large degree… We have an Australian government bullish on a gas led recovery which is being driven from the
PM downward.

This focus is stronger than in 2009/2010.

Australia’s new Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley, is pro-gas!
PEP-11 is federal waters, and ultimately the Federal Minister can decide unilaterally.

Advent,MMR and BPH love triangle
We have now got greater clarity on Advent, MMR and BPH interplay, more water to go under the bridge there, but the progress indicates this area is actively being address by David Breeze.

Carbon Capture– Another string to the bow and mitigation for Green arguments

We also have other pieces of the puzzle coming together. Carbon capture is on the table and a great foil to the Green brigade. The appointment of Professor Peter Cook below is a strong indicator that BPH is confident of gaining JA sign off and NOPTA approval.

As posted by @Auroracoatings and mentioned by others including @Knight16, this project is two years away, and that is just to get to the investment decision - no guarantee.

Questions

There are still questions;
1. Could this be one of the five basins?
2. Could we receive Government funding to help with exploration?

No to either of these does not derail us, yes just makes things even better!

I am not sure NOPTA approval is a question any more.
