What's ridiculous is that it could have been settled years ago at a fraction of the cost. Management really mishandled this and misjudged the outcome. Really they should be taking a fair bit of blame here, the litigation has been costly and they have had significant penalties added on. In the end the shareholders are going to lose substantial dividends over this fiasco.
