Because I think there is a chance that the split (which may or may not create more liquidity) might cause a PE rerating downwards.
The amazing tight AEF register is what attracted me to this stock. This is a point of difference I seek in my investments.
Tell me what the benefit is of the split? the calculation works in both directions. If one can ask the question ‘why does it bother if it makes no difference?’ Then one can equally ask ‘why bother doing it?’.
When the stock is trading at a forward PE of 30 I wouldn’t be changing anything. It is already highly rated.
