I was careful because our cashflow, debt and balance sheet didn't look all that good. But with the coming full year results, which I think looks to match or better the 1H then I'm more amicable to an M&A. That is on top of our currently fantastic growth pipeline.

Of course it depends on the acquisitions numbers. It is worth repeating that M&A decisions risks an ill-disciplined allocation of shareholder capital, this is also the fastest way to impairments. SP value destruction is almost a guarantee in the short/medium term if results do not align with market expectations. (I'm looking square at AMI when I say this as Dargues Reef is a disaster!). Worse is failing to deliver long term and balance sheet repair becomes an overwhelming priority. Ultimately when confidence in a stock is lost, it is very hard to get back even if the fundamental value recovers.

haha I’m a bit behind the times I was a bit unsure about how our guidance was going to look this year but as mentioned in another post I’m very happy with this coming year so am happy to add another operation if they find one suitable and after tuning in to the quarterly meeting I’m more then happy with Andre’s position on the “right” acquisition.
