So many are saying "Market hasn't bottomed yet" so I won't buy yet! do they seriously think they'll know when it hits the bottom!
The slightly less silly comment is "I'll buy when the trend is up and happy to miss the first 5% or 10%"? does that mean the market going up 10% intraday last Friday and probably up 2% to 5% Monday means they will be buying Monday? I doubt they will?
Heard so many say during GFC they will have this approach (eg Marcus Padley) but I reckon they missed the first 30% to 50% of the recovery! Eg ASX200 in low 3000's but they were buying again in the 5000's! and Padley and others sold out and cut their losses in the 5000's and even 4000's!!
At times like this it will never look safe to buy again and if it does, sorry, you just missed the easy 30% to 50% gain!
It's hard to pick the bottom, even harder to pick the top!
