Yes many pros sell down after entitlement date and take up SPP offers to average down.
You'd have to be careful here as you get heavily scaled down.
Either way, reactions to SPP are generally short term and I'm not concerned with that aspect, I'm on the Polar Express. It isn't stopping to drop me off for a good while.
