I was ready to sell today given the rotation out of tech as seen in the Nasdaq, but seeing this announcement i decided to hold
The way i see it, they just signed one of the best debt deals you can at zero percent and conversion at 194. In other words, someone paid 1.5b for a call option at a 45% premium to the last price.
Afterpay in the meantime just got a massive cash injection to really ramp up US/Canada/Asia/UK.
Looking at the US numbers, they clearly know how to do this and therefore the ones who can do it the faster will get more market share. 1.5b should do the trick (which is 10x more than Z1P has on the balance sheet)
