Just to answer a couple of these concerns,
1) Copper has one of the best funadmental outlooks when considering supply and demand dynamics over the next few years with most analysts pointing to favorable conditions for the metal ( but what do they know, mostly hedge their bets)
2)Well its not such a streach to think China - who incidently consumed about 45-50% of the worlds copper this year and a massive consumer of most materials - would attempt to push down prices with whatever measures they have avaliable eg. constrain lending on their banks and send ripples around markets - could well help them negotiate better iron ore prices (down $10 on the spot market) which are up for negotiation, dont forget they are some of the best negotiators around. Incidently - markets bouncing back with the enevitable bailout of greece.
3)SFR JORC due any day really - dont be mistaken, this will be the biggest copper find for some time.
Lets see - could be comfortably above 10mt (lets assume approx 4-5% copper) this is worth a upto 10 x their current mrk cap. Could be a big upside reaction - not to mention a takeover target... whatever happens short term on the initial JORC no., you can gaurantee this will only increase.
