~25% reduction in underlying profit for the year ahead... ouch
Happy to see the special dividend - would be more happy to see an acceleration of investment in renewable generation and storage assets to power us ahead LT...but also understand that increased generation capacity needs to be finely timed with aging plant retirements to avoid causing too much disruption to energy market pricing.... personally, I would love cheaper electricity... but for AGL it would come at the expense of our profit.
Coal is providing us with a healthy base here...
