I think CAB has already factored in the 5% - you have to bear in mind all the other sources of income as well, so personally I'm not concerned, one thing that has changed is that the transaction fee on Cabcharge is now no longer the dearest but competes directly with all the others, so what I can see happening is that the drivers will no longer get a "cut" from the other providers and it won't be worthwhile them having multiple readers in the taxi as is at present, so as CAB found in Victoria the no. of users (passengers using Cabcharge) increased and they expect that to happen in NSW.
CAB is getting very heavily involved in matching the flexibility of the "official" apps. namely GoCatch and Ingogo. They're a long way down that path now.
Who knows where the sp of any Co. will be down the track - up to every individual.
