What legal protection do passengers have in a "Uber" vehicle if there is an accident resulting in injury or death. I presume that In a industry cab passengers are covered by insurance etc.
By "uber" I understand that these are private vehicles being used in a commercial business and I am under the impression that your private insurance is null and void when the vehicle is used commercially - I stand to be corrected.
If state governments allow "uber" vehicles can the CAB industry (class action) make a claim against the state governments for for a refund of the taxi licence fees they pay.
