As long as they can pick up any assets without overpaying, then surely thats a good thing in the med-long term? Deferring divi's now in order to create greater value later. I get it for investors who need dividends as an income stream, but sewing up BHP coking coal assets for the medium to long term should mean a higher divi stream, or why else do it.
