Totally agree. Securing the global rights to the Hazer process, once proven at scale, would be a huge win for a large global entity interested in decarbonising (carbon credits), hydrogen and/or graphite.
I think there is a very high chance of Hazer being taken out by a bid once the process is proven at scale. I only hope that it's not taken out too soon (ie., at too low a price), and that more than one bidder shows up at the table should there be an offer.
You'd have to think that the ultimate potential is in the $billions? All pending the proof of scalability, but if that comes off, you just need to look at the valuations being ascribed to some of the rubbish loss-making hype stocks on the ASX to imagine what could be applied to something like Hazer with a proven process that actually makes money and, more importantly, does some good as well.
We've already seen the share price north of $1.70 (twice), well before the CDP and the likes of Engie and Chiyoda coming on board. Just watch it run again when the big buyers decide it's time to get set. This thing turns on a dime when it wants to, thanks to the low SOI. Just look at the chart over the past few years. It's been a long wait for this shareholder since 2017 (and not without its setbacks) but I think it is, finally, "game on" for Hazer.
