I work in the gas industry. I do know all of this. The point is for the technology, the chemistry of it all, is based on methane. Nobody cares at all about the source at CDP, all they care about is it it converts within its design expectations and will it make good products and money. Like i said before, the amount of umming ahhing about classifying the name of the gas was ridiculous, as the plant had been designed at a biogas facility, to take biogas. I told you that and it still didnt sink in.
Eventually the company said yes, it's biogas. So that you could sleep easy knowing what sticker was on the inlet feed gas pipework. It otherwise affected nothing. In time, if it all works well, they can design a plant around a decent sized biogas facility of some sort and possibly make heaps of money. With credits maybe even more than a fossil gas fed plant. Although unlikely as they want to be near heavy industry. So probably will gain credits from using pipeline gas in areas that is biogas blended. Either way, they are currently using biogas like I always told you they were.
