Humans have forever been blaming themselves for natural events - "the gods must be angry", whether polytheistic or latterly monotheistic, has given way to the refrain "we are destroying our world!" Not much in human nature changes. Milankovitch must be rotating in his grave, that we have apparently forgotten his observations about our celestial motion. I have to shrug, get on with life, and enjoy a movie such as "The gods must be crazy".
