Typically manufacturers of medical products put a shelf life of two years on everything because they don't bother to test it after longer periods even though it may still be fine and really they want turnover of stock. Refrigerated drugs likely have a very extended lifetime.

In the old days we sometimes used to blow the dust off obsolete drugs in the store room and use them provided the seals were intact and the product looked in good condition, but now it would cause all sorts of extreme reactions. Occasionally there are products that degrade into something dangerous like degraded tetracycline. But they are pretty well known.
