The gradual but steady rise in SP since the AGM may be testamount to how chicken remains very competitive in comparison to other meats.
Supermarkets are allegedly noting more shoppers are buying cheaper products in most areas, dry goods included, so one might expect chicken is substituting even more for expensive beef and lamb.
I'd like to know if staff absenteeism at ING production sites such as Thomastown is still a major problem, and whether the company is managing to recruit sufficient new production workers given what I assume is high turnover in this type of work.
