the element that stands out the most to me is that Sonic look to be in line for $330 revenue per test, assuming 15% royalty to PIQ. With 2 million diabetes patients already on their books, let's say they convert 20% of those and the tests are used for ongoing evaluation that's a walk up $198m AUD (using 1.5 USD:AUD) revenue per annum and providing $36m AUD royalty to PIQ. As Sonic, it would seem acquiring PIQ even at a multiple of current MC ($98m) to capture the $36m AUD per annum would seem a no brainer. on the flip, maybe they see the potential but prefer to wait for the platform to be developed and other tests approved etc
who knows. it just seems cheap.
