I always look at it as relative with financial commitment - Tribe sure has put in a fair bit of money in recent times but relative to net worth it's not a lot most investors here would have far more invested. From $310M NW would make it 4% someone with say $1M that would only be equivalent to $40K. Also i'm not sure, maybe he can sell the company like he's sold real estate but he's definitely coming into this from a different angle and the long line of past major holders also all walked in with great optimism. Most of the major holders over the years have put a fair a bit of money in and then given up and moved on. Hockings did to start as the more recent entry but i'd assume with his average price and then the sell out of half his equity to Tribe he'd be all free carried plus some. It's all about the big deal sure but it's all about the same story and eternal question do potential suitors or partners want to pay it ? - the deals thus far have been all partners are interested in and it's been 4 years since the last one.
