"Metgasco
Metgasco has postponed its AGM from November 30 until December 16 to allow the comapny to hold it on the same day as shareholders consider a $25 million offer from the New South Wales government to buy back Metgasco’s three controversial licences in the Northern Rivers region.
The meetings are likely to be tense, with many Metgasco shareholders organising a block vote to try and derail the disposal, and talking about a class action.
Metgasco management says the prospect of $25 million in the hand is more attractive than protracted legal action."
