I am flattered that you think that I have the answers on this. Unfortunately I am neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet. I can only tell you what I know - entirely gleaned from public sources.
    1. IVX has three excellent clinical properties, cpn10, Nadolol and Zafurlikast.
    2. The management is well credentialed and has skin in the game to the extent that they are as desperate as anyone else for the company to succeed, probably more so.
    3. Management has a track record of success in the field.
    Now the down side:
    1. The share price is so low that the company is in the death spiral an really cannot raise any significant further capital.
    2. In the current situation, there does not seem to be a way forward with cpn10 as, by my estimate, based on old data mostly from the previous management, any progress is not possible without an expenditure of the order of $20M. This looks a bridge too far, given the cash position and the other opportunities available to IVX.
    3. They have been in a selling mode for more than twelve months and have yet to make even a positive announcement.

This is not for the faint hearted, but the potential reward, if management can bring it off is spectacular. The other comfort I can offer is that I have only been involved in one vaguely similar transaction and it seemed to take forever. It resulted in an exceptionally lucrative deal for the company I was associated with after a long drawn out negotiation. What surprised me was that the financial terms did not alter from the first offer. The negotiations seemed to be all about the legal details and sharing of any patentable discoveries along the way. What I was interested in did not seem to feature in the negotiations. Once you get three parties involved (and I don't say that there are three parties involved here) it can take months to arrange a meeting.
You make your decision and take your chances. I can only repeat that in my opinion, the risk/reward equation is compelling, but the risk is high!
