I'm having real trouble getting my head around the company's use...

    I'm having real trouble getting my head around the company's use of FY years. For example, they're giving FY24 results nearly 11 months after the end of that financial year so it's hard to believe that FY stands for that. But if they mean "Full Year", which is a very unusual way to refer to the Calendar Year (CY) then it's nearly six months old and still unbelievably outdated data for a modern, presumably computerised company. Similarly, they're offering an "outlook" for "FY25" which has either 25 business days to run, or seven months.

    Can somebody set me straight?
