Don't think you are alone in being down on your entry price. Many are as AVB is currently near the bottom of its typical range. I am (and just quietly a ship load more than you). The question I ask myself regularly is should my money be somewhere else? For me personally, the answer has never been yes. I am comfortable in my investment timeline and the underlying fundamentals. I do believe the upside on AVB is still far greater than many other companies. Your needs could be different, all IMO.
At the AGM, MW did say there was evidence on the register to support his statement that the price pressure was a product of shorters and lent stock, that no large holders were selling.
Think this will sort itself out soon enough. If the small holders stopped selling the big players might run out of reasons to pursue their strategies. DYOR.
