Lets have a look at what we do know. There is 37.5kv and we are needing about 3mw. Equal to 2 motors on a 30 motor dragline. There is 10km, a 6AWG cable should pull it up so not too expensive. If we dig a trench that will be weather proof and safe and we will need to remove and re-fill about 2000m^2 of dirt which is not that much. A good operator should dig a trench in 100hrs. The photo of the substation looks like it has 230kv supply or bigger so I don't think our draw on the network will be noticed.



The plan view of the plant shows 2 green lines with an arrow pointing to one and calling it a road and the other, I assume is the power. Now you are right it does not follow the road there is a little truncation over the hill.
