Really impressive strength in the share price the last few days relative to the other gold stocks. I think the dividend is a key part of why some investors may be interested in Regis. If they produce a 4 cent dividend in the half year then it's on a 5% yield plus full franking.
No chance of a takeover but there was that talk about the Newmont 20% stake being sought-after by brokers and there could be some behind the scenes action. If the share price can get another leg up toward $3 then Regis could turn acquirer in the gold market by using script.
Looking forward to seeing those resource updates. Could really add to the valuations for the stock since mine life had been a concern. Plus the grades are very good compared to the current grades at MW and GW.
