There's definitely something not quite right. The orphan drug designation seems to mean nothing to FDA or maybe that is exactly why. I'm sure the likes of Shire or ISIS/Roche would love to see the progress slowed down for Prana here. Maybe Roche/ISIS are negotiating with FDA to trial here too instead of just Canada and Europe. If Biogen wants them out of the competition for AD what better way?
