The results support two potential future avenues for development of BIT225:

1. As a key component of future HIV‐1 eradication/cure strategiesA combination, or multi‐drug approach, will be needed for successful eradication of HIV‐1 infection

2. As an addition to current anti‐HIV drugs to reduce immune activation markers and improve patient healthoutcomes‐ Add to an already extensive body of preclinical and clinical data on BIT225 generated over the last decade

Potentially improve the saleability of the program to a commercial partner, by providing evidence of a clinical benefitover and above ARTBIT225
